Project Context and Scope
The Action aims to support the Greek authorities, with the provision of targeted reception support and critical integration services, aiming to a smooth transition to the national integration program, namely the HELIOS1+ also implemented by IOM. As a result, it is expected that the Action will contribute to the beneficiaries’ smooth and sustainable integration in the country, as well as to enhanced solidarity and fair responsibility sharing among EUMS.

As a result, it is expected that the Action will contribute to the beneficiaries’ smooth and sustainable integration in the country, as well as to enhanced solidarity and fair responsibility sharing among EUMS.
Under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant (Operations Assistant), the consultant will provide accounting service.
Responsibilities
Tasks to be performed under this contract
- Share with IOM Staff all necessary forms needed to be signed by beneficiaries
- Upload all necessary supporting documentation of beneficiary to the Greek Tax System to update personal details (Names, Address, telephone numbers, etc.)
- Issue tax codes and created tax account (username and password) in beneficiary’s name
- Issue tax declaration for beneficiary, when requested
- Provide IOM staff with any other relevant information and invoices which should be needed in terms of accounting status of beneficiary in a timely manner;
- Provide feedback on all steps once completed directly to IOM
- Provide support in any ad hoc requested assistance within the scope of accounting services that should occur;
- Ensure that all forms/documents submitted are kept in copy and saved on internal channels;
- Provide clear, effective and continuous communication, verbal and written, with the public tax office and IOM staff to ensure the timely delivery of services requested.
- Ensure that all monthly reimbursement are verified by IOM as completed cases
Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
- Submission of produced relevant tax documents per completed case, to IOM
- Monthly list of completed cases verified by IOM
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fields is required;
- Professional accounting permit certification is required.
Experience
- At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role;
- Familiarity with Greek legislation in the field of accounting.
Skills
- Computer literacy in standard software applications (MS Office, etc) will be considered an asset;
- Good communication skills, personal commitment and efficiency;
Languages
- Fluency in Greek and certified working knowledge of English or French is considered an asset (oral and written).
IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
