Job Description
The Registration Assistant works under the coordination of the Greek authorities in performing some
or all of the following tasks:
- Support in the registration of applications for international protection by third country nationals or stateless persons in the context of the reception and identification procedures in CCACs and RICs, in accordance with the legal framework and the relevant Standard
- Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide information to applicants, with the support of an interpreter, on the registration procedure, the rights and obligations of applicants for international protection, the ‘Dublin’ procedure (if relevant), as well as the subsequent stages of the registration procedure. The information provision takes place before, during and after the lodging of the international protection application;
- Take fingerprints, as part of the registration procedure, into the relevant databases;
- Fill-in the registration form in the relevant database, accurately recording the details of the applicant and the reasons why the applicant is seeking international protection, as well as all other information relevant for all subsequent stages of the procedure, such as marital status, Dublin indicators, vulnerability indicators, etc.
- Support in the drafting/printing and archiving/uploading of documents produced by the relevant database;
- Provide administrative support relevant to registration of international protection applications;
- Attend regular meetings with EUAA at national or local level, as requested;
- Participate in trainings organised by EUAA or other stakeholders at national or local level, has requested;
- Participate in missions to other locations for the performance of the tasks, as requested;
- Provide regular analytical and statistical reports on the support provided, the challenges and good practices identified;
- Provide any other support to relevant to the role and tasks in the context of the registration of applications for international protection, in prior agreement with EUAA.
Requirements
- University degree – preferred and advantageous;
- Demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks;
- Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written);
- Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web- based applications;
- Very good intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
- Ability to work under pressure.
