Due Diligence Lead
Location: Homebased with occasional travel (willing to consider candidates outside the UK)
6 months Fixed Term Contract
Full Time 35 hours per week (typically Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm)
Salary: £33,348 to £38,704 (plus London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable) per annum

A Day in the life of our Due Diligence Lead

This role will focus on completing National Society (NS) partner due diligence assessments. So everyday you’ll work collaboratively with these partners and the broader International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. You’ll work as the process lead and liaise between the BRC, NS partners and other critical stakeholders. Your stakeholders will be based across Asia, Africa, MENA and Europe, so you’ll work with a global mindset, being alert to local norms and sensitivities.

As part of your assessment work, you’ll collect, review and validate all the required documents and evidence from partners. You’ll work with accuracy and completeness. You’ll interview staff and (where feasible) conduct site visits. You’ll analyse data and identify trends and gaps in area of non-compliance / risk. You’ll report your findings to the relevant stakeholders.

The work you will do will be crucial to the work of the organisation, and therefore vital to the lives of those in crisis. Your skills directly contribute to supporting our humanitarian efforts. You'll make a real difference in the lives of those we aim to help.


This role might be for you if you are…

  • Up to date with knowledge of themes and compliance issues of the International Development space including FCDO requirements. 
  • You have detailed knowledge of institutional donors such as FCDO, ECHO and USAID. You understand how to manage compliance and risk in donor-led funding.
  • Adept in research experience, technical expertise and excellent analytical and influencing skills.
  • Naturally insightful: You can analyse and interpret information to communicate and persuade decision makers. You can negotiate, influence and network with decision makers.
  • Understanding of NGO / Humanitarian sectors. A strong understanding of the international humanitarian system and international, regional and national policy frameworks.
  • Collaborative: You can work closely with colleagues in different departments across the organisation. You can build relationships with National Society partners in the region and the broader International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
