Context
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN agency dedicated to sexual and reproductive health and rights. It works to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. UNFPA supports access to family planning, maternal health services, and comprehensive sexuality education, especially in underserved and crisis-affected areas. It also champions gender equality by addressing gender-based violence and harmful practices such as child marriage and female genital mutilation. Through partnerships with governments, civil society, and the private sector, UNFPA promotes data-driven policies and programs that empower women and young people, reduce inequalities, and advance sustainable development.
UNFPA Asia and the Pacific is currently strengthening its partnerships with regional organizations such as ASEAN, SAARC, PIF, and regional multilateral development banks such as ADB, AIIB, NDB, as well as its philanthropic partnerships. The Partnerships Associate will support the UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office (APRO) in strengthening strategic engagement with public and private sector donors, including multilateral development banks, philanthropic organizations, and non-traditional bilateral donors. The Associate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of donor relations and resource mobilization efforts through research, coordination, and administrative support.
