Job Purpose
To provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience, professional development, and meaningful contributions to departmental projects in a supportive learning environment.
Key Accountabilities
Contribute to project development by supporting the Transport and Water Practice teams in the preparation, quality review, and formatting of project documents, technical reports, and concept notes.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance by assisting in the tracking of ongoing Transport and Water sector projects, including milestones, deliverables, risks, and results.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on sectoral themes such as sustainable mobility, climate-resilient infrastructure, water resource management, and policy reforms.
Support strategic knowledge generation by compiling data, synthesizing global and regional best practices, and drafting analytical summaries to inform project design and decision-making.
Assist in the planning and coordination of internal and external meetings, technical workshops, and field missions, including preparing agendas, briefing materials, and documenting outcomes.
Develop visual and narrative content for presentations, dashboards, and internal reports, ensuring clarity and relevance for various audiences.
Draft concise and impactful communication materials, including internal briefs, summary notes, talking points, and sector updates for management or partner engagement.
Engage in collaborative assignments with multidisciplinary teams to support key operational or strategic initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
Apply academic knowledge to practical development challenges by offering insights on innovation, policy trends, or technical approaches in both Transport and Water sectors.
Support administrative and coordination efforts across the division, including workflow tracking, document archiving, and process improvement initiatives.
Participate in learning activities and knowledge exchanges, contributing to a culture of continuous learning while building professional competencies in international development.
Academic and professional qualifications

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Undergraduate student in their final year of study
Currently enrolled in a Master’s program
Currently enrolled in a Doctoral program
Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree within the past 12 months
Skills, Necessary Knowledge & Languages
Knowledge in environment, water resource management or related fields
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
English - Mandatory
Arabic - Preferred
French - Preferred
Program Duration
Internship duration: 6 months
