Context

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires the United Nations Development System (UNS) to be agile, coherent, and responsive to country priorities and people’s needs, which is why it has embarked on a reform process since 2018.

The RC is appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations and leads the work of the Country Team, composed of the Representatives of the UN Agencies, Funds, Programmes, and Offices. The UN Resident Coordinator office (RCO) seeks to engage a Youth United Nations Volunteer (Youth UNV) to strengthen its capacity while facilitating and coordinating UN development efforts. The UNV volunteer will support the UN Resident Coordinator office (RCO) in its coordination role and will contribute to the areas of knowledge management, reporting and monitoring, strategic partnerships, analysis, and communication.
