Malteser International (MI) is the international humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. For over 60 years we provide relief and recovery for people during and following conflicts and disasters around the world. Christian values and humanitarian principles form the foundations of our work. In over 30 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East, we support people in need – regardless of their religion, origin or political convictions.
In Lebanon, MI and its partner organization, the Order of Malta Lebanon (OML), began providing medical services, food, and non-food items to vulnerable persons in 2012. From 2014 onwards, OML and MI have operated three medical mobile units in North Lebanon (Akkar), Ras Baalbek, and South Lebanon (Yaroun), which has been expanded to currently 7 MMUs, supporting vulnerable groups affected by the recent conflicts. Since 2020, the efforts to rebuild and strengthen healthcare services through 11 Community Health Centers and Local Agriculture Centers have significantly expanded for vulnerable populations in eleven target communities across Lebanon.
Malteser International is seeking support for an external sector evaluation in Lebanon.
The consultancy evaluates the agricultural project “Strengthening the resilience of the vulnerable population in rural regions of Lebanon by promoting agricultural production” (LLP3), focusing on its effectiveness in achieving objectives and supporting women and other vulnerable groups. It assesses the project's impact, sustainability, and contribution to resilience-building, while offering practical recommendations for future interventions.
The details of the requirements for the presentation of offers are detailed in the Terms of Reference.
