Overview of position Role objectivesA dynamic and analytical professional who will spearhead our market analysis initiatives. A strategic thinker with a knack for client engagement, adept at leveraging data insights to drive business growth and diversification.
Key Responsibilities:
Client and Market Analysis & Reporting
• Research and map the market globally, identifying potential actors and clients in the humanitarian and
development ecosystem. Understand their modus operandi, the HR solutions providers they work with,
and identify opportunities and entry points to offer CTG’s services.
• Analyse market trends, conduct comprehensive analysis for customer behaviours, and sales data to
inform strategic decisions.
• Analyse CTG’s competitors to understand their offerings, positioning, and to better define and leverage
CTG’s unique selling propositions (USPs).
• Feed the insights collected from existent/potential clients into the Communications team to ensure
messaging and materials are aligned with client expectations and market demand.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and support business improvements.
• Conduct comprehensive competitive analyses to identify market positioning
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable market insights.
Client Engagement & Business Development
• Identify and help grow the services CTG delivers to existing and potential new clients, including
opportunities under existing LTAs.
• Closely monitor and promptly flag to Procurement, Sales & BD teams any advertised Requests for
Proposal (RFPs) or Quotations (RFQs) within the humanitarian and development sector
• Generate qualified leads, set up meetings for the CEO, BD team, Country Leads and Regional Directors in
line with CTG’s Sales & Growth Strategy (local and global levels). Support the operational and HQ
team/leaders to engage with existing and potential clients to understand their needs.
• Build and manage a global client pipeline while keeping the CRM updated with all relevant clients’
information.
• Represent the company at relevant regional, global industry events and networking opportunities.
• Supporting with the development of pitch decks and information gathering to assist regional team with
their BD
• Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to foster strong relationships.Train and support
staff in effective CRM utilization to enhance customer engagement, utilization and accuracy
Strategic Diversification Initiatives
• Support with the diversification strategy implementation, derisking from the UN
• Support efforts to diversify the company's portfolio by identifying and evaluating new market
segments.
• Monitor and report on the progress of diversification strategies and initiatives undertaken across
CTG.
• Conduct analysis of Business Development and Sales KPIs and achievements by operation/region. • Align analyses and recommendations with the sales strategy, targets, and respective budget plans. • Collaborate with the communications team to develop marketing content and materials for
stakeholder engagement.
Project reportingThis role reports to the Bid Director.
Key competenciesEducation & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, data analysis, or CRM management.
Proven track record in client-facing roles and strategic planning.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
Advanced skills in Power BI and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead meetings and present confidently to diverse audiences.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in market diversification strategies.
Familiarity with the private sector landscape in Kenya and East Africa.
