Responsibilities

ENV is recruiting a Knowledge & Learning Specialist (ETC1) to support its knowledge agenda. Working closely with the ENV Sr. Knowledge and Learning Officer, the Knowledge & Learning Specialist (ETC1) will support the implementation of the ENV Learning and Knowledge program and support the implementation of ENV programs’ and trust funds’ knowledge and learning tasks. The Knowledge & Learning Specialist (ETC) will be performing a diverse set of tasks liaising with staff across ENV and beyond. These tasks include but are not limited to:

Support development of large-scale knowledge platforms

• Develop a detailed concept for the knowledge portals in partnership with IT, External Communications and other corporate units.
• Gather information and documents from across various teams and institutions and build a data repository with reporting function.
• Liaise with trust funds and partner agencies to ensure their buy-in and alignment with their standards and expectations.
• Facilitate interactive ePackaging of data and analytics (e.g. in presentations, WebApps, Storymaps, eBooks, dashboards, etc.)
• Leverage AI tools to support the synthesis, organization, and dissemination of knowledge products and learning materials.

Learning program implementation

• Provide ongoing support in implementing learning events within ENV technical and non-technical learning streams: coordinate with speakers, create invites, book conference rooms and/or manage online conference platforms, organize dry-run sessions, and publish recordings.
• Provide targeted support on knowledge and learning initiatives to ENV trust funds and programs, including but not limited to: Global Program on Sustainability (GPS), PROBLUE - Global Program for the Blue Economy, and PROGREEN - Global Partnership for Sustainable and Resilient Landscapes, NBS Invest, Global Wildlife Program (GWP), GEF, Montreal Protocol, and others.
• Ensure event planning across ENV is well-coordinated, maintain and update event planning tools and liaise with other KM and Communications staff as needed.
• Contribute to the organization and logistics of Planet Vertical/ENV Week fora and other flagship events.
• Assist in the development of self-paced e-courses from both the instructional design and visual layout standpoints, liaising with the World Bank’s Open Learning Campus as needed.
• Assist in creating surveys and collecting and analyzing staff feedback on ENV knowledge and learning.

Content management & Intranet publishing

• Manage ENV Intranet sites using SharePoint, assuring content is up to date with latest knowledge pieces, events, training offerings, events, feature stories, blogs, etc.
• Design visually attractive intranet templates, liaising with the ITS Intranet team as needed.
• Build new intranet sites on request.

Data Management and AI

• Maintaining and update databases and running lists relevant for ENV work.
• Document, store, and organize results stories, briefs, case studies, guidance notes, and other knowledge products from ENV regional and global teams.
• Ensure compliance with the corporate record management policies.
