At Stegra, we’re not just building a plant, we’re proving that sustainable industry is possible. And to do that, we need people like you.

Join a team where safety comes first. Where we support each other, learn as we go, and make space for everyone to grow and contribute. This is your chance to be part of something big - while being closer to nature and leading a balanced, purposeful life.

What you’ll do

Right now, we are looking for a Digital Domain Lead for our Enabling Plants domain. In this role, you will report to our Digital Domain Manager and be part of a cross-functional digital team that ensures modern digital capabilities required for hydrogen and DRI production, asset management, workforce safety and sustainability across the entire production chain.

As the Digital Domain Lead for Enabling Plants, you will drive the implementation of digital solutions across the entire production chain from hydrogen and DRI production to workforce safety and sustainability. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into digital initiatives, prioritize key features, and ensure that development efforts are aligned with operational goals. You’ll manage the product roadmap, oversee the development process, and ensure successful adoption of technologies that enhance productivity and support new ways of working.

Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.

  • Translate operational needs into actionable digital solutions through close collaboration with plant managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, incorporating feedback and ensuring the most critical features are delivered first.
  • Guide and support development teams during sprint planning and execution, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and long-term goals.
  • Work alongside enterprise architects to ensure digital solutions align with our overall business architecture and long-term strategy.
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and shared understanding of product goals, progress, and performance.
  • Drive adoption and user-centric design of digital tools that improve workflows for plant operators, engineers, and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure consistency between digital product design and operational workflows.

What you’ll bring

You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Several years of relevant experience in digital product development, preferably within industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycles, from concept to delivery.
  • Experience working with product roadmaps, backlogs, and agile development practices.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable plans for diverse stakeholders.
  • A user-centric mindset with a deep understanding of the needs of operators, engineers, and frontline staff.
  • Experience driving digital transformation and managing change in traditional industrial settings.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with business strategy and architecture.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, AI, automation, and data analytics.

We will priorities local candidates.

This is Stegra

Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat.

By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable plant in Boden, Northern Sweden - currently under construction. But this is just the beginning. Our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize industries beyond steel, paving the way for a cleaner future.

Our Boden Site

Our Boden site is located just west of Boden City, right in the heart of a growing green industrial hub in Northern Sweden. It’s where we’re building one of the world’s most modern, sustainable steel plants—designed with safety, efficiency, and people in mind. With just a 10-minute commute from town, you'll be close to both cutting-edge technology and the everyday convenience of living near nature, schools, and community life.
