Functional Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Vehicle Compliance & Validation Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Technical Review & Compliance

    • Review technical specifications in tender documents and confirm their accuracy and applicability.

    • Assess bids and manufacturers’ technical documentation for compliance with required specifications.

    • Validate compliance against international vehicle standards, emissions norms, and safety regulations.

  2. Validation & Testing

    • Verify conformity of offered vehicles with stated performance parameters (engine, drivetrain, safety, emissions, durability).

    • Conduct technical validation (desk-based or physical inspection/testing as required).

    • Provide recommendations on suitability for local conditions (terrain, climate, usage).

  3. Documentation & Reporting

    • Prepare compliance checklists and technical evaluation reports.

    • Document deviations, risks, and mitigation measures.

    • Provide written recommendations to support procurement decision-making.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities when clarification is needed.

    • Advise project stakeholders on best practices in vehicle validation and compliance.

Deliverables:

  1. Compliance validation checklist(s) for each vehicle type.

  2. Technical evaluation reports of all received offers.

  3. Final recommendation report summarizing compliance status and validation outcomes.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field is required..

  • Possession of Project Management Certificates (e.g., PMP, Prince) is an asset.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in vehicle validation, automotive testing, or compliance engineering.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of international automotive standards is required.

  • Experience in evaluating 4x4/off-road vehicles is required.

  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and reporting skills are desired.

Languages

  • Fluency and communication skills in English and Arabic are required.
