Duties and Responsibilities
In the context of the implementation of the Business Facilitation/eRegistrations Systems, under the supervision of the project coordinator and in close collaboration with other international experts, the consultant will install new instances, administer databases and technical systems, analyze, maintain and update the program's servers. In particular, s/he will be in charge of the following tasks: • Upgrade all client servers to version 2.13, applying the latest release to every system. Ensure all servers are consistent, secure with the newest patches, and updated with the latest features. «ll services should start and run without errors after the upgrade. Security patches from the release are applied and confirmed and monitoring tools show no degradation in performance. • Install, configure, and activate the Statistics module in both the test and live environments. The setup must be validated to confirm that the module is capturing accurate data and generating required reports. This will ensure that monitoring and reporting are consistent across all environments, supporting performance tracking, troubleshooting, and informed decision-making. • Migrate the development, UAT, and staging instances into a Docker Swarm cluster. This transition will replace the current non-production setup with a containerized cluster environment. The migration should improve scalability, simplify resource management, and ensure consistent deployments across all environments.
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree, Master, or equivalent in Information Technology, or related fields, is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in development and implementation of IT systems and software development is required. Experience in designing and executing live cyber- security attack defense exercises and implementation of UNCTAD eRegistrations system, desirable.
Languages
Fluency written and spoken in English is required.
