Job Overview/Summary: The Economic Recovery & Development Officer will conduct the Business Development Counselling component activities in Amman, Irbid, and other locations as the program needs, including providing business and career counselling, facilitating specialized technical training & advanced technical training, supporting the creation of training materials, managing entrepreneurship grants, providing mentorship for client businesses, supporting data collection and management, monitoring and evaluation activities, and businesses follow-ups. For this period specifically, the work will be within a project focused on financial literacy and financial inclusion that is accompanied by an entrepreneurship component in later stages of the project.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Implementation & Technical Quality
- Lead/ Support the development of training material to fit program needs and requirements.
- Conducting Advanced Technical Trainings sessions for program clients.
- Maintain an accurate Database for training attendees and their performance in impact evaluation.
- Maintain an archive system (hard and soft), filing and scanning program supporting documents of activities, flag any missing information/documents or errors and proactively follow up to retrieve this information.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of Volunteer Facilitators if any, including conducting interviews, organizing and facilitating ToT sessions, coordinating training implementation and data management, and ensuring quality and accuracy in monitoring and reporting activities.
- Supports the outreach and recruitment process by:
- In collaboration with community and market engagement team to facilitate community outreach events at different locations as required by the program design.
- Supporting the internal and external referral and liaising process
- Revise the training curriculums with the team, adding or removing aspects based on need.
- Update & amend the scoring systems as needed.
- Provide Consultations for businesses using the mentorship model.
- Enhancing the client's efficiency and ability to cope.
- Promoting the decision-making process and facilitating client potential.
- Grading the final Business Proposal in case of grants.
Partnerships and Coordination
- Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions.
- Work constructively within the team and take initiative on new tasks and ideas.
- Coordinate transportation plans with the operations team as needed.
- Coordinate program activities with implementing partners and partner organizations.
- Support implementing partners as program requires.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in related field or work experience in similar positions.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience working with NGOs, with experience implementing livelihoods programs for vulnerable populations, experience within IRC Jordan ERD program is preferred.
- Organized and very high level of attention to detail.
- Facilitation and Training experience is a must.
- Familiarity with Business Development and basic market assessment approaches.
- Understanding of protection principles, some familiarity with Jordanian labor law preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing monitoring and evaluation tools, including collecting and compiling data, and reviewing and revising tools.
- Good interpersonal and team skills, as well as a positive demeanor, eagerness to find creative solutions, perseverance, flexibility, knowledge, and active listening.
- Willingness to work in Amman, and travel to other cities for activities as needed.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
