KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Assistance Services
Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital assistance tools and applications used in food assistance programmes.
Provide training to staff and partners on the use of digital assistance platforms, ensuring they are proficient and can effectively use the tools.
Support staff, partners, and the people that we serve to access and use digital assistance platforms, ensuring they understand and can utilize the available resources.
Data Management and Analytics
Ensure availability of digital tools to enable accurate and timely collection and entry of data related to food assistance programmes (including identity data management), distribution records, and monitoring data.
Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
Assist in the analysis of programme data using analytics tools and the preparation of regular reports to inform decision-making, monitoring and programme adjustments.
Foundational IT Services
Provide support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, network devices, and other office IT equipment.
Provide first-level technical support for troubleshooting and resolving of IT issues faced by staff in the Area and Field Offices.
Assist in the installation and updating of software applications, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper usage and maintenance of IT equipment.
Monitor and maintain network systems to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for all office operations.
Implement and manage security protocols to protect IT infrastructure and data from threats and breaches
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain comprehensive documentation of digital assistance, data and IT systems, processes, and user guides to ensure knowledge continuity and ease of troubleshooting.
Ensure adherence to WFP identity management, data, and IT policies, procedures, and compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
Perform any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Innovations, or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in IT support, data management, or digital assistance roles. Experience in a humanitarian or development context is highly desirable. Proven experience with IT infrastructure, digital tools, and data management systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using and supporting digital tools and applications. Strong understanding of data management principles and tools. Familiarity with network systems and IT security protocols. Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Ability to support and manage IT systems and digital tools effectively. Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights and reports. Soft Skills: Strong communication and people skills. Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise. Meticulous with a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment. Strong focus on providing excellent support to internal and external users. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic field environment.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English. Working knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
