Position Summary
At Children International, Talent Growth is the function responsible for all people and culture practices. The Global Director of Talent Growth (TG) Operations is a senior leadership role dedicated to evolving and sustaining our global Talent Growth business processes and services so that they run efficiently, effectively, and compliantly in support of the organization's mission and strategic direction. Working closely with leaders at all levels and TG Business Partners, the Director champions initiatives that support business goals, enhances employee experience and contributes to building a Culture of Belonging that drives performance. The role requires a forward-thinking, influential leader with a passion for driving impact, growing organizational capability and embedding innovation in all facets of operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design of Talent Growth’s (TG) global strategy and translate it into operational plans that can be scalable and sustainable.
- Partner with Regional and KC TG Directors (TG business partners) to leverage technology to optimize TG’s business processes.
- Function as a sounding board and coach to TG business partners in day-to-day TG operational work, problem solving and difficult employee relations issues.
- Support global implementation of key TG business processes and projects and monitor effectiveness for continuous improvement.
- Design and implement dashboards with key talent and TG metrics to drive decisions and continuous improvement actions.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to ensure TG’s initiatives are aligned and satisfy key stakeholders’ needs.
- Continuously improve TG’s global and local TG operations in partnership with TG business partners
- Support the design and implementation of programs and initiatives to Build a Culture of Belonging
- Support Succession Management and Leadership Development
- Support KC and agencies’ workforce planning and budgeting, in partnership with TG business partners.
Personal Characteristics & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required, with an advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR or Talent Operations experience, including at least 5 years in a relevant leadership role.
- Nonprofit experience a plus
- Demonstrated Strategic HR vision and expertise
- Consultative problem-solving and project management skills with a proven ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion.
- Demonstrated alignment with CI Values
- A proactive and independent work style, comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking initiative to drive work forward.
- Displayed interpersonal, relational and communication skills. Has the ability to collaborate across various functions and geographies.
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience in leveraging technology and data to optimize HR processes and decisions.
- Experience in change management and organizational design
- Experience working with global, virtual, distributed leadership work environments.
