Position Summary
At Children International, Talent Growth is the function responsible for all people and culture practices. The Talent Growth (TG), Global Recruitment & Development Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing best in class recruitment and development strategies in support of the organization's mission and strategic direction. As a key partner to leadership, this role will implement policies and practices to attract, nurture and develop our talent globally and ensure the organization is proactively building the right people capabilities to enable greater impact and growth.
Responsibilities
- Enhance our global recruitment strategy and build the organization’s recruitment capability to attract and retain the right mission focused talent.
- Leverage technology and best-in-class recruitment practices to continuously improve the process and ensure we are meeting our key stakeholders’ needs and key recruitment metrics.
- Partner with hiring leaders and Talent Growth (TG) business partners to forecast staffing needs and design proactive recruitment strategies such as building a strong talent pipeline for our organization’s current and future staffing needs.
- Enhance and lead our global onboarding business process to ensure a positive and consistent new hire experience that drives performance and retention.
- Design and implement CI’s Global Academy to support performance enhancement by providing the right leadership and staff training and development, based on the organization’s strategic needs.
- In partnership with local TG managers, conduct training needs assessments and design and implement professional development programs aligned with organizational and agency priorities: upskilling/reskilling.
- Leverage technology to optimize training content, scalability and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training programs through feedback and performance outcomes.
- Partner with leaders and local TG business partners to help them develop high-performing effective teams.
- Coach leaders and local TG Business partners in best practices to develop their team members.
- Support the Performance & Potential Conversation (PPC) process, as needed: development of skills, coaching leaders in defining IDPs and aligning CI Academy offering to yearly performance/development needs.
- Support succession management development needs.
- Partners with TG business partners and local TG in developing and implementing initiatives that promote a culture of belonging for greater impact.
- Support recognition programs that drive the desired performance behaviors and retention strategies.
Personal Characteristics & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required/or relevant work experience.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in recruitment and learning and development, 2 years of which should be in an expertise leadership role.
- Nonprofit experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to link people and development practices to organization performance and outcomes
- Exhibit knowledge of effective up-to-date recruitment, learning and development best-class practices.
- Demonstrated alignment with CI Values
- Display interpersonal, relational and communication skills. Has the ability to collaborate across various functions and geographies.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- A strong background in project management, with a proven ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion.
- A proactive and independent work style, comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking initiative to drive work forward.
- Proven ability to design and deliver engaging live and asynchronous training experiences.
- Strong facilitation skills with comfort leading virtual training sessions and workshops for diverse learner audiences
- Comfort with global, virtual, distributed leadership work environments.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
