Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Chief, ICTSS , and the direct supervision of the NetCom Team leader the incumbent is responsible in assisting for the following duties in the Publications, Conference, and Knowledge Management Division(PCKMD),Information and Communications Technology Services Section (ICTSS): Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background, the intern's assigned office as well as the internship period. Examples of duties to be performed may include the following: In this role, you'll provide direct support to the Network & Communications team by participating in the following initiatives: 1. Implementation of Configuration Automation and Management Solutions: 2. Support for WLAN Upgrade: 3. Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance: 4. Support for LAN/WAN and Internet network Expansion tasks. 5. Other Activities as Needed: Under each initiates, you'll provide support to the team by performing the following tasks: 1. Implementation of Configuration Automation and Management Solutions 2. Support for LAN & WLAN Upgrade works: You'll assist with the technical aspects of our WiFi network upgrade project. This includes helping with the physical deployment of new access points, configuring their settings, and troubleshooting any connectivity issues that arise during the process. 3. Network Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Monitoring: You'll help diagnose and resolve network issues, such as connectivity problems, slow performance, or device failures. You'll also assist with routine maintenance activities like software updates and performance monitoring to prevent future issues. 4. Other Activities as Needed: You'll be a versatile team member, ready to assist with a range of other IT-related tasks as they arise, contributing to the overall success of the department. This may include assisting with documentation, inventory management, or supporting other IT projects
