As an integral component of outbreak investigation team assigned by PEOC, ensure timely investigation of social component of an outbreak/event as per SBCC outbreak guidelines with timely submission of findings and clear plan for improvement in coordination with respective ACO
Responsibilities:
-
Lead in the social & communication investigation of all outbreaks/events as per NEOC investigation guideline.

Lead and coordinate the team's response to communication-related issues and crises, including contributing to and implementing communication plans, following outbreak investigations
-
Design and implement Social Listening exercise through FGDs and in-depth interviews and other research methodologies and integrate the findings into actionable plans
-
Ensure effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including the public, government officials, media, and partners.

Develop and implement communication surveillance systems to identify and respond to emerging communication issues and trends.
-
Develop and maintain a network for communication reporting and information sharing among relevant stakeholders.
-
Conduct and share UC level risk analysis report on potential environment and/or human case based on the existing SBCC findings or reports
-
Provide regular updates and reports on the team's activities and achievements to relevant stakeholders.
-
Any other task assigned by the direct supervisor.
KPIs
-
100% completion of all assigned SBCC outbreak/event investigations within agreed timelines of PEOC notification, including submission of findings and recommended action plan to provincial SBCC team and relevant stakeholders.

Ensure that 95% of submitted investigation reports meet the SBCC outbreak guidelines (evidence-based root causes, interventions, stakeholder consultations, and UC-level risk recommendations) on first review.

Ensure 100% implementation follow-up of agreed action plans in coordination with the SBCC team and stakeholders (Including DEOC), with documented progress against agreed timelines.

At least 10 UC level risk analysis per month focusing LPUCs

Master’s in social sciences, public health, or a related field.
-
At least 7 years of experience in communication and/or public health programs, including experience in crisis communication and community engagement. At least 3 years of experience working in Polio program.

Experience in managing teams and leading communication initiatives.
Skills
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and respond to communication-related issues.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Willing to travel to all districts for case investigations as they arise.
-
Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under high-pressure situations and should be able to evaluate the risks and benefits of different options and make the best decision for the situation.

Experience in crisis management and be able to handle the situation calmly and efficiently.

Must have a good understanding of communication technology and use it effectively.
This role has no team management responsibility.
