About this position
We are looking for a committed, dynamic, analytical, and collaborative professional to join our team in the role of Consultant within the Treasury Investments Group (TRY/INV) to enhance investment portfolio analytics and reporting capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement dashboards for portfolio reporting and analytics.
- Improve workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Build team capacity in data management and Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design dashboards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for each dashboard, including data architecture.
- Liaise with the central data analytics team to ensure consistent sources and uses of data.
- Deliver training sessions for team members on data management and Power BI.
- Ensure dashboards meet the needs of senior management and comply with internal standards.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.
What you'll need
- Education: Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance, capital markets, risk management, or portfolio management, with proven expertise in dashboard creation and database management.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Power BI; In-depth knowledge of SQL and solid expertise in Python; proficiency in fixed-income risk management and valuation systems; comprehensive knowledge of standard fixed-income analytics.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Citizenship: You are either a citizen of the country where the position will be based or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or a legal permit to work in the designated country.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

- Consultant: National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), full-time, 9 months.
