Duties and Responsibilities
To support the GlobE Network’s strategic communications, accountability and outreach efforts, UNODC is seeking the services of a consultant to produce two key written products covering the Network’s impact, achievements and results in 2025: (i) the GlobE Network Annual Report 2025, to be presented to the GlobE Network Plenary, and (ii) the GlobE Network Web Annual Report 2025, to be published on the GlobE Network webpage and provide a short and visually-oriented online summary of annual activities.
Qualifications/special skills
• An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, public relations or related field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications, journalism, speechwriting, copywriting, proofreading, publishing or other related area is required; • Experience with editing of publications is required; • Proven experience drafting analytical and impact-oriented narrative reports and publications is required; • Excellent drafting skills, both written and oral, is required; • Familiarity with the work of UNODC and UN editorial standards is desirable; • Excellent command of word processing and spreadsheet packages is desirable.
Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
