Key Responsibilities:
• The candidate will combine storage/backup engineering and programming skills to build automated pipelines for provisioning, protection, recovery, replication, and lifecycle management across on-prem and AWS/Azure/OCI.
• Work with on-premises storage (SAN/NAS/Object) and cloud-native storage/backup services to design standardized, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Use Python and at least one additional language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Go) to develop automation pipelines, APIs/integrations, and validation tests for platform operations.
• Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation/Bicep/OCI Resource Manager), CI/CD workflows (Git-based), and policy-driven guardrails for repeatable, compliant deployments.
• Administer and operate Cohesity backup environments (on-prem and cloud), including policy design, immutability, ransomware protections, and recovery orchestration for hosts, databases, and cloud services.
• Maintain and optimize Pure Storage arrays (FlashArray/FlashBlade): provisioning, zoning, multipathing, snapshots/clones, replication, and performance tuning.
• Monitor performance and diagnose problems across storage/backup infrastructure; instrument observability (Splunk, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, OCI Logging) with dashboards, alerts, SLIs/SLOs, and automated reporting.
• Design, document, and test disaster recovery (DR) plans and runbooks; conduct periodic DR exercises, capture results, remediate gaps, and report compliance posture.
• Handle escalation calls from the NOC, perform triage, resolve incidents/requests via ServiceNow; maintain high-quality documentation (drawings, spreadsheets, procedures, runbooks, KB articles).
