Responsibilities
Responsabilities
- Coordinate Travel Reservations: Prepare reservations and quotations in the local and global Amadeus system, applying global and regional agreements to secure the most competitive fares.
- Manage Travel Records: Enter travel arrangements with accuracy and timeliness using IOM institutional applications, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Support Project Activities: Provide administrative assistance in the implementation and monitoring of project‑related activities.
- Assist Operations: Offer general support to the Operations Department, contributing to the smooth execution of daily tasks.
- Contribute Flexibly: Perform other duties as assigned, gaining exposure to a wide range of operational and administrative functions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Final‑year student or recent graduate in Tourism (Licenciatura).
Experience & Skills
- Previous work experience in related functions (desirable but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in customer service, administrative support, or coordination of activities related to the tourism sector will be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to diverse contexts.
- Availability to work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Languages
An intermediate level of English proficiency (B1) is a mandatory requirement for this internship.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Notes
Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. Interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend.
IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
