Job Description
Context
Under the direct supervision of the Relocation and Integration Coordinator, the approved candidate will support IOM integration activities in the northern region, and will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with the relocation strategy procedures related to VES modality and Local Integration Flow.
• Work together with the Relocation Coordination Center (CCI) in improvement and expanding VES modality and Local Integration Strategy.
• Support the Opportunities Project (OIM) by participating in meetings, facilitating selection processes and updating relocation processes with companies as prospected by them.
• Maintenance and prospection of partnerships in courses and trainings for migrants.
• Participate and represent IOM in integration working groups, meetings and liaising with local authorities and Operation Welcome stakeholders and strategic partners, including UN Agencies to plan and execute integration activities.
• Prepare monthly integration reports.
• Perform other related duties as may be required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Law, Public Policy or related field by an accredited university with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience in liaising with Brazilian Government agencies, national/international institutions, United Nations Agencies and non‐governmental organizations.
• Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, and other vulnerable groups.
• Experience working within a team of colleagues from diverse cultures and professional
backgrounds.
SKILLS
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relations with relevant government counterparts, civil society, international organizations and private sector entities
• Good written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
LANGUAGES
For this position, advanced Portuguese and advanced Spanish is required (oral and written).
