Project Context and Scope

Under the Assistance Programme, IOM has provided essential and lifesaving humanitarian support to Afghan guests at Camp As Saliyah in Doha, Qatar for almost five years. 
 
Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing

Under  the general guidance and direct supervision of the Programme Manager (MHPSS), the consultant will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the MHPSS unit, including data management, reporting, coordination, and logistical assistance, and will perform the following functions and responsibilities:

Tasks to be performed under this contract
  • Collect, organize, and compile activity data from MHPSS interventions and support the preparation of biweekly and interim reports in a timely.

  • Maintain and update data tracking tools to ensure all MHPSS activities are properly documented and monitored.

  • Assist in managing MHPSS storage by tracking stock levels, organizing supplies, and coordinating with the warehouse team for replenishment and distribution.

  • Support the implementation of MHPSS activities by providing administrative and logistical assistance to the team as needed.

  • Coordinate with the procurement and logistics units to raise purchase requests and follow up on required materials and services for MHPSS operations.

  • Facilitate communication between the MHPSS unit and relevant internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely support.

  • Ensure proper filing, record-keeping, and documentation of all MHPSS-related administrative processes

  • Promote and maintain confidentiality and the right to privacy regarding the beneficiary and project information.

  • Assist in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the program.

  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
  • Accurate collection, tracking, and submission of MHPSS data and reports within set deadlines.

  • Efficient coordination with procurement, logistics, and warehouse ensuring availability of materials without delays.

  • Effective assistance in implementation of MHPSS activities and smooth communication with internal teams.

  • Proper record-keeping, maintained confidentiality, and active contribution to monitoring and evaluation processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Secondary education is required, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

OR

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations. 

  • Experience working with at-risk community members
  • Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities and stakeholders, working in international organizations, non-government, or government institutions/organization.

Languages

  • Fluency in English is required.

Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Notes

IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
