Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office in Vilnius and direct supervision of the Head of Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the assistance in implementation of the relevant activities of the project Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR).
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of AVRR project activities, in line with project objectives and IOM procedures.
- Implement AVRR operational activities, including beneficiary consultations and pre departure assistance; coordination of travel documentation and arrangements; organization of flights, transit and reception assistance; liaison with IOM missions and relevant institutions; identification of vulnerabilities and provision of appropriate support; and guidance and follow up on reintegration assistance.
- Contribute to project monitoring and reporting by drafting status reports, providing regular feedback to the Programme Coordinator on implementation progress, identifying delivery gaps, and proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and update AVRR information materials, including gathering and analysing information and feedback, and contributing to outreach and communication products.
- Assist with budget monitoring and project financial administration, propose adjustments when required, and ensure proper filing and maintenance of project documentation in accordance with IOM standards.
- Draft project related correspondence and documentation, including reports, briefing notes, presentations, graphics and statistical tables; assist in the preparation and drafting of new project proposals, concept notes and related project documents; and respond to complex information requests and inquiries.
- Support coordination and liaison activities, including the organization of AVRR meetings, workshops and information events, and maintaining effective working relationships with authorities, partners, donors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
- Experience in project implementation;
- Knowledge of main migration issues in Lithuania and current situation in the EU;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage; and,
- Experience of the work with EU funded projects – preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting is an asset.
Skills

Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
Reliable, able to work under pressure and drive for results.
Driving license and experience.
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in Lithuanian, English and Russian is required (oral and written).
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

In accordance with the UN Salary Scale, the monthly base salary for this position (G5/1) is 1822.5 EUR, with an estimated net take‑home pay of approximately 1770 EUR. IOM salaries are exempt from income tax.
