The Junior Project Officer works as part of the Pan-Africa Region and contributes to the implementation of activities of the EU-funded Africa-EU Migration and Mobility Dialogue Support Programme (MMD) and the Pan-Africa Region in general. The overall objective of the MMD project is to support the orderly, safe, regular, and responsible migration and mobility of people within Africa, and between Africa and Europe. The project is divided into two components. The first component focuses on facilitation of migration dialogues, and the second component adds an operational element, helping to translate engagements and commitments made in the dialogues into concrete actions. The Pan-Africa Region currently implements a broad project portfolio in West and East Africa with staff working from Vienna, Brussels, Abuja, Accra, Abidjan, Praia and Addis Ababa. The Junior Project Officer reports to the Head of Region and supports the Head of Region and other senior staff members both administratively and operationally in their daily work within MMD and across the broader Pan-Africa Region.

Mandatory languages for the position are English and French.
