Senior Project Manager coordinates project implementation of the EU-funded initiative Partnerships for Return Preparedness and Reintegration in Ukraine (PREPARE-UA).
Implemented by ICMPD, in close cooperation and coordination with the EU Member States and Schengen Associated Countries, PREPARE-UA project aims to establish a coordinated operational model that connects information and counselling services in participating Member States and Schengen Associated Countries with employment opportunities, municipal support systems and reintegration services in Ukraine. The proposed initiative is based on the principles of voluntariness, informed choice and dignity, while recognising that return preparedness must begin well before any eventual transition out of temporary protection.
The Senior Project Manager leads the Ukraine operational team and the ICMPD office in Lviv, Ukraine. They work under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator, based in ICMPD Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Vienna, and works closely with the project Secretariat.
For this post experience of working in Ukraine as well as understanding of current displacement context, recovery, reconstruction and reintegration of displaced people is required. Proficiency in English (verbal/written) is required, and proficiency in Ukrainian is an asset. Senior Project Manager position is being established in Lviv, Ukraine, frequent travelling to other regions of Ukraine will be required, based on security situation.
