Job Description
Currently, no data is collected on different sectoral impact of a disaster and status of recovery, in a medium to long term post disaster setting, for example, 6-9 months after disaster, making beneficiary targeting and recovery planning difficult.
To address this gap, IOM has conducted an in-depth assessment at Khulna, Sunamganj, Noakhali, Lakhsmipur and Feni on the post-disaster multi-sectoral needs of the displaced and affected population at large, with an aim to develop a framework to support disaster related data collection in a medium to long term post disaster setting.
The assessments identified the needs and challenges faced by the disaster displaced and affected population 6-9 months after the disaster aiming to understand their post-disaster requirements and the need for recovery programming. The findings and the framework are expected to support all relevant stakeholders to collect data to design evidence-based recovery programming.
