Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the use and adaptation of methodological tools, data collection, and information systematization, in line with needs and guidelines
  2. Compile and organize information,, both at individual and aggregated levels, on assistance programs; support collaboration with IOM partners when needed; and prepare reports to support program reviews and informed decision-making.
  3. Support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) tools in coordination with the Information Management System established by the mission.
  4. Maintain and update information products and basic data visualization tools, such as dashboards, charts, and tables, according to needs.
  5. Provide general support to integrate the MEAL approach across all office activities, in line with IOM principles and standards.
  6. Contribute to the preparation ofmonitoring reports and assist in responding to information requests from internal and external counterparts.
  7. Support communication and documentation activities related to project monitoring.
  8. Provide assistance on MEAL-related administrative and logistical tasks, in coordination with relevant units.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in fields related to Engineering, Geography, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or another relevant area, with proven experience in data collection, data management, information consistency, and quantitative methodologies, with two years of professional experience; or
  • School diploma with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
  • Experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation of international cooperation programs or projects.
  • Experience with Kobo Toolbox or other tools for data collection.
  • Experience in advanced data visualization and information design.
  • Experience in handling confidential data.
  • Experience with international organizations and/or humanitarian action is an advantage.
  • Experience in preparing reports for donor partners and presenting indicators through dashboards.
  • Experience in using the Information Management System (desirable)
Skills
  • Knowledge of software packages such as SPSS, STATA, Power BI, R, ArcGIS, and other data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to communicate required information through (but not limited to) dashboards, charts, tables, as well as strong writing skills.
  • Experience in collecting and consolidating quantitative and qualitative information from international cooperation projects.
Languages
  • For this position, fluency in Spanish is required (oral and written).
  • IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
  • Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
